Big businesses, such as McDonalds and Burger King, have recently become leaders in the animal welfare movement. Although under the radar, this movement of these enormous companies has sparked great chnages. They claim to be simply meeting the consumers demands. This movement is considered "mainstream" by McDonalds' Director of Social Responcibility and thus their movement towards improving the conditions of their animals was inevitable. Still, some argue that these improvements, such as decreasing the amount of hens per cage, are not enough.
